Jobs & Economy

Dave knows that in order to get the economy running again, we have to build things here at home. Throughout his time in office, Dave’s number one priority has been creating job and expanding the economy here at home. He believes that we must keep taxes low for middle class families and ensure better wages, provide tax relief for small businesses to hire and expand their financing opportunities and close loopholes that encourage shipping Iowans’ jobs overseas.

Dave believes we must reinvigorate manufacturing, build things in America, and take action against illegal trade practices by foreign competitors. He has introduced his New Jobs Training Act that would help close the skills gap by bringing community colleges together with local businesses to develop job training programs. Dave believes in investing in updating our infrastructure and creating thousands of new jobs in the process. From expanding rural broadband and green energy to building new roads and bridges, an investment in infrastructure is an investment in the American worker.
