Loebsack Releases First Ad of 2014 Campaign

Calls for permanent ban on Members of Congress becoming lobbyists

Iowa City, IA – Congressman Dave Loebsack’s campaign released its first ad today entitled “Doors”. The 30-second ad highlights Dave’s efforts to put Iowans first by permanently banning Members of Congress from becoming lobbyists. You can view the ad here.

“Being a Member of Congress means putting people first and working for the things that are important to those we were chosen to represent, not special interests,” said Loebsack. “That is why I am fighting to permanently ban Members of Congress from cashing in and becoming lobbyists when they leave office. It is time for out-of-touch Members to be held responsible. And I am willing to walk the walk, which is why I have pledged to never become a lobbyist and authored legislation to cut the pay of Members of Congress. It is well past time to put Iowans ahead of the special interests.”
